Linda Perlstein, public editor for the National Education Writers Association and a 1992 copy editing intern at The New York Times, was cited for The Educated Reporter, www.educatedreporter.com, a commentary on education coverage and writing. Ms. Perlstein covered education for The Washington Post and has written two books, Not Much Just Chillin’: The Hidden Lives of Middle Schoolers and Tested: One School Struggles to Make the Grade.
Carole Richtsmeier, 2009 Distinguished Adviser, who teaches journalism at Midlothian High School in Texas was recognized for MyBellringers, www.mybellringers.blogspot.com, her take on life and times teaching in an American high school. Bellringers has already been recognized in The London Times’ SchoolGate site which also reviewed her newly published a book, How to Lose Your Self of Steam & Other Teaching Lessons I Never Learned from Professional Development.
