The Dow Jones News Fund presented its Teacher of the Year awards at the advisers luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Lori Keekley, of St. Louis Park (Minnesota) High School, was named the 2016 National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year.

The Distinguished Advisers were Terry Cassreino, St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Madison, Mississippi; Patrick Johnson, Antioch (Illinois) Community High School; Dave Riggs, Wenatchee (Washington) High School; Leslie Shipp, Johnston (Iowa) High School.

The Special Recognition Advisers were Cherié Burgett, Staley High School, Kansas City, Missouri; Mark Harrison, T.C. Roberson High School, Asheville, North Carolina; Teresa Scribner, Cleveland High School, Seattle, Washington; Jami Williams, Mexico (Missouri) High School.
